Fated Strife

Well Mother woke me up about 0700 this morning, she had to get something to send back. Muffin jumped in the bed and walked all over my face.. ugh

Didn’t sleep too good last night, got to bed about 01:00 and layed there trying to go to sleep.

Went out and got a tea and such. Talked to Kevin for a few, he’s gotta swap the RAID cards on my server with the one I own instead of the one FQ owns. Also got his reccomendation on a video card for muh system. It just happened to be the same model I was looking at, different mfg and lower price. http://www.asus.com/products/vga/v9950/overview.htm It’s cooool.

I am going to have to nap for just a bit, can’t keep my eyes open right now, and I keep yawning. So Gina if you read this I’ll be on eventually.

Well let’s see. I had started formatting and such when I posted my last entry. Took awhile but I was able to go with mother and be back and it was ready to be setup. Got it setup. Nothing really worked right after the install cause the drivers are new and 2k didn’t have them. So I got my HP drivers disk and got most of them installed. The wireless one HAD to be the PITA.. just had to be. Finally after making another stretch of cat5 from the rack to my desk I got on the HP site and grabbed the 2k drivers and the WAN program, well the program did it, I’m up and be running at 54Mbps (well 48 right now). So talked to Gina for a bit then waited for her to get back on after the aid. Then she had to get back off again. So I went to bed. Couldn’t get to sleep easily then my nose started bleeding like a water fall so I got on the laptop for a minute while I let it bleed. Gina was back on so I’m talking to her now.

I guess that’s it for now, I’m a gettin sleepy some again so I guess it’s bedtime for me.. again.

Well I went to bed last night after the aid arrived at Gina’s.. around 21:30 or so. I had trouble sleeping, I’d go to sleep, wake up, sleep, wake up, all night long. Finally woke up about 08:00 this morning adn tried to go back to sleep but couldn’t. Went to Pals and got some grub and came home and worked on Nagios. I think I’ve got the whole mysql database deal working with it finally.

I took a nap about 13:00 and slept til about 15:00, IF you can call it sleep, I kept waking up then too, just too darn hot.
Talked to Gina for a minute but the aid showed up so I am waiting on her to get back on.

I am currently backing up my important files and stuff on my laptop cause I will be formatting it for Windows 2000, I am tired of XP and it’s screw ups.

Well cd#4 finished, let’s see if I am done backing up. gah

Well I got up at like 0730, Todd had called, told me he had my cd cable I asked him for if he had one. I also notarized his papaw’s death cert. and other stuff for insurance stuff.

Came home and decided I was sleepy and decided I wanted to take a nap. I layed down but then kept thinking about my stuff I still had at OEC. So I got up and got dressed and went out to get the Christian framed dohicky thing I had on the wall, was going to get my Dell 2550 but then Phil got interested and may buy it so I left it. Thing weighs a ton. Eric, told me that Eric Hartley and some of his other cohorts were opening an office here down the road so I decided to go and pay a visit. Went and hunted (found the right office without any hint other than “some new folks moved in upstairs” so I went from office to office trying the door and knocking. Last door on the right was unlocked so peeped in and saw some Sun equipment so I figured it was his lol. Got to the car called him, we talked for a bit then got talking about guns. Decided to take the trip to Bristol and eventually settled on $500, $100 down he is trying it and I’ll have the $400 in hand this weekend. My next one will be a H&K USP .45 Compact. Finally got home about a little after 1600. Called Nikki at the doctors office and finally got my effexor called in and such. YAY.

I think I am going to bed when the aid gets there, pretty tired since I skipped my nap.

I also got my Nagios working with mysql backend database and now it works! All thanks to Kevin telling me he didn’t have to change many lines unlike what I did lol.

I told Thomas I would make him a list online of the concerts he’s been to so here it is.
