Well this weekend wasn’t too bad, Amor, Angel and myself did some assaults, specifically Golden Salvage. I got 1100 twice then 1000 assault points on the last. The ??? spoils were pretty crappy did get a fishing rod but still blah. Got some hi-pots and tanks also. Please be sure to check out the FFXIclopedia, I contribute to this site via donations and articles/corrections/etc and think its a wonderful idea. I also think it’s probably a better source for information as it has more sources than the other sites so it can be confirmed quicker than the others.

I also came across this which looks pretty neat, it changes to look of chests so that they’re more visable and all that looks pretty cool but probably risky or something.

I’ve also got a GeForce 7600 on the way to replace the ATI x700 that I’ve been using (which had been in my Dell that was my original FFXI machine which is typically my only game I play on pc). So hopefully it’ll be a good card, I’ve always liked nvidea stuff since voodoo stuff went away (and wow I think I still have my old voodoo 3 cards around here somewhere). This is the exact card actually, I had thought it was one of the Xfx but was wrong so hopefully the Pny cards are ok.

Two good House episodes were on tonight. First up was “Hunting” which I missed out on the first 10-20 minutes of but it was pretty good. Second episode was “The Mistake“. Both episodes were good though the 2nd lost half a star cause it just really didn’t do much for me. Focused more on the sue the shit out of House and focus more on running around playing mind games about whos telling the truth and what is really lies and what isn’t.
According to Fox, September 5th all new episodes of House will be starting so can’t wait, hopefully I’ll have some sort of Tivo then (I already have Tivo on my Directv but I don’t get local channels on there but I may have by then but if we dont keep directv then I need to get a tivo box for just cable by then but whatever).

Mother, Adam and myself went to walmart earlier and I had a check from grandma so I could pick up some printer paper and some other things so got to checkout and such everything was fine etc but the check wasnt reading right which happens but then I got asked if I was either of the names on the account which occasionally happens but then they said I couldnt do that, my mom IS on the account so she is authorized by the bank to use the checks but walmart said no though the bank says YES. The stuff these stores are doing now to “prevent” fraud is really starting to piss me off bad… first of all, according to studies if checks are stolen and going to be used they are going to try to be used in places where they wouldn’t need an ID OR if they need an ID the person is going to have an forged ID that MATCHES the name on the check. Well my name is NOT the same name on the checks but my last name is the SAME. The Memo area on the check has my name in it though in handwriting of my grandma which is very very different from mine. As for credit card fraud that can be different from retailer to retailer, some have where you swipe the card and sign and you’re done, others they take the card may notice the name if its a female name and you’re a guy they might get curious or soemthing. Some places want an ID to confirm and such. Easiest way to pay for stuff to avoid this hellish hassle is cash.. plain and simple cash. Even then there’s a minor problem sometimes but that takes few seconds to rub a stupid pen against the higher value paper to make sure its real but thats about it.

Well this past week hasn’t been too exciting that I can remember. Grandma had to go to the doctor and aslo had a brain scan (not sure if it was CT/MRI/PET or what) as it seems she’s starting to show the symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease. Personally I still don’t fell that this is what it is, but then again I could be wrong and the things I’ve seen so far that it could be isn’t that much better. So just the thought of all that is having its toll on me.

I’ve been readmitted to Northeast State for Fall this year for Biology, I’m really hoping I can actually take it this time and do a good job and hang in with it. I’m trying to get a bunch of this equipment and such I don’t use or have no need for sold, I’d rather try to sell it first than to just toss it as the money would really help us out so much. If anyone who reads this is kind enough and would like to help me out please feel free. I accept donations through amazon and paypal. I can possibly find a way to eventally pay back with some sort of service, consulting, web design service whatnot.

FFXI end not much going on. Got WHM to 75, just hanging out with Angel mostly, talking. Killin puddings and such getting merits mainly for Max MP. Gonna be able to talk to him on phone Wednesday most likely :D.

Been watching seasons 2 and 3 of That 70s Show, and some Family Guy and some of 3rd seasons Simpsons.

Was in the WordPress control panel playing with some settings and noticed on the dashboard that Matt has written a plugin to remove the www. from your WP domain. The info on doing this can be found at http://no-www.org/. This is something I have been doing for quite a few years now and personally I like it.

I can see the reasoning where it might be needed (as with multiple servers serving content such as www1. www4. etc) in my case as well as many others that shouldn’t be an issue. I find it slightly annoying when sites wont even let you access the site without the www. some of the colleges around here have this problem and one uses the no-www for staff use and www for general public. I would think this could/would cause some confusion.

Anyway go check out the plugin saves a hassle for those of you who can’t use mod_rewrite or don’t want to risk screwing up your server config.

First up is brandson’s lj, he’s got some pretty cool UI mods available, FFXI Color Icons, FFXI Maps, and some awesome menus and fonts. I’m currently using the icons and maps, I had the UI and fonts for awhile and they are really cool but just not my style.

Well got to Dr. Sullivan’s Wednesday morning and brought up the fact that I only had a few bms and was still solid so they were wary about that so decided to try a few enemas to see if we could go on with colonoscopy. Unfortunatley it started out not too bad but the more we tried the darker it got so finally said screw it, they did agree to do an endo and stretched esophagus and did the burn on the LES. I was rescheduled to come back Friday and have the colonoscopy done since I had done the prep but it didn’t do what all it should have. The magnesium citrate was horrid and made me sick so had to cancel it. Been so nauseated since the endo. Was pretty bad Thursday and Friday and has lightened up a bit but still gah. Nothing really changed, had bleeding gastritis which was a change from the normal inflammation I have. Gotta go back and see Bobbie sometime I think so will go from there.

Angel has been moving so hasn’t been on since Monday, got on for a second last night but had to finish up some. Then was on today and did escort quest but got in trouble so had to go. Sucks..

I added a link directory on Vanadiel Ranch. I’m hoping since this is the first of its kind that I’ve seen that people will start submitting their FFXI links and such, would be helpful to have a place where you can find a site through certain criteria.

Was kept entertained by watching season 1 of House most of the week, picked up season 3 of That 70’s Show last night for $20 so had been watching that, just listening to music now.

Eh there’s probably more but too tired to think, gotta finish working on network diagram sometime for the extra geek points and upload it. Then get the way I have extra stuff mapped out deployed. That should bring more connectivity to other parts of the house which will be swell.
