Well this past week has sucked pretty bad.
Did get to talk to Angel for a good hour one day, but some of the plans we had aren’t going to work right now and such but he says he still wants to get this to workout even if it takes more time.
Had to go to Sullivan’s office Wednesday for my iron shot but not before I started puking blood (again) so got in to see Bobbie and decided its upper endoscopy time. I was placed on clear liquid diet for Thursday to keep insides from getting too much hurt or something. I’m scheduled to have it done on the 4th of April at 6am. Hope it goes well and can figure out the source of the bleeding this time.
I spent most of my evening today in the ER again. Migraine got a bit out of control and was feeling pretty cruddy. Got back there talked to doc for a min he left, called my mom to come get me, they came in about a minute after I got the phone and gave me the shot (which isn’t like them, they usually wait to do it until your ride shows up). The Nubain/vistaril combo they give for those things actually make my pain worse. I’ve noted it several times and last time they said they would put a note saying no to nubain for me but they gave it to me anyway. Nurse came back in ready to kick me out and asked if it was any better, saying no it wasn’t she got all snitty and left. Waited and waited (my mom had been there 20 or so minutes by then) then she came back and gave me an injection of Dilaudid and promethazine. That helped a great deal, then the doctor wanted to get a CT done (just had one a few weeks back) since it was weird that it didn’t start helping the migraine (the nubain that is) so I had to sit there and explain it that it had always done that when they gave me nubain. Big mess, finally said I didn’t want the CT done and was able to stagger out and leave.
That nurse’s hatefulness to not only me but to my mom also made me pretty mad, there was no need for her to have acted that way as we didn’t do anything to cause her any frustration, we were probably nicer than any other patient in the ER that night.
Oh well.. ![]()
