This week has been busy I guess. Monday I had to see Bobbie at Sullivan’s office due to my vomiting and such related to my trip to the ER on the 30th. I was put on a clear liquid diet (better than the NPO diet I put myself on (well maybe some drink by mouth but nothing else)) until I had my endoscopy on Wednesday.
Fast forward to Wednesday, got to Sullivan’s around 5:20, waited maybe 15 minutes then was taken back, weighed, vitals then straight past the prep area to the procedure room areas. Was placed in one of the old procedure rooms which hold as holding rooms for those with procedures coming right up. Got IV in, talked with Sullivan as normal then whisked away to procedure room 1. Greeted the endo techs and nurses with a ” Why hello Clarice, *noise Hannibal Lecter makes*” which gave them a laugh.
Basically did what I normally do since I know the routine. Left size, got pO2, EKG, blood pressure hooked up. They put the mouth guard in pretty quick (probably to keep me from being chatty) then started jamming drugs in without answering me when I asked which one they were putting in at the time. Guess they thought I wouldn’t remember if they told me but I typically do.
Anyway, endo showed some Mallory-Weiss tears, ulcer stuff, gastritis, esophagitis, (those -itis ones are inflammation of the stomach and esophagus, respectively). Had LES coagulation, esophageal dilation.
My nausea hasn’t been as bad now, they might have given me some ondansetron or another powerful antiemetic to help with the nausea at the time but otherwise I still feel like crap, need to get this anemia gone and I might have more energy.
Angel’s birthday was last Saturday on the 31st (mine was on the 29th for those of you who missed it), didn’t get to spend much time talking with him, and we hardly get more than 15 minutes to talk now days.
It’s snowing outside. The weather had been pretty warm lately then past day or two it has been in the low 50s during the day, it’s currently 27.7 outside and had some flurries for awhile but they seem like they’re going to stick around for the night I hope.
Picked up the last Left Behind book, Kingdom Come. So far it’s pretty good but I think I might wait on Angel to catch up to the Glorious Appearing so I can have someone to talk to about the book.
Eh, I guess that’s all for now, probably more I’ve forgotten but I need to be up early, might get to talk to Angel for a bit more tomorrow morning. ![]()
