Brad’s Ramblings

System Specs
Below will contain detailed specs of my various computers and other equipment. For now the machine name and link to the CPU-Z Validator site with each machines specs on them and a small description will suffice.

• Phoenix - Primary gaming machine, play FFXI, Doom3, etc on it along with DVD burning and the like.
• Bahamut - Primary Desktop, it used to run Gentoo Linux until the drive crashed (during a backup mind you) so using XP on it for now.

- Dead PS

• Diabolos - Formerly Phoenix, as of 03/04/2007 it runs Gentoo as a workstation.
• Ramuah - This is my Compaq Presario R3000 laptop, its junk, had to have system board replaced twice, power jack breaks off every so often from board, hard drive has bunch of bad spots but it still works every day.

- Busted Screen

• Covetous - This is the server that hosts this site among others. It’s a QSOL Intel P4 2.80Ghz, 1GB RAM, RAID1 40GB 7200RPM Hard Drives.

There is quite a bit more left to be added, many servers, all of which are running some flavor of linux, Gentoo to be exact.

Network

My network starts with my Zyxel Prestige 660 ADSL gateway acting in bridge mode, this is connected to a Linksys WRT54G running openwrt. This connects to my HP ProCurve 2524 (24 ports). From there this connects to the various computers mentioned above.

Other Technology

I currently use a Samsung S730 digital camera, this was purchased on 4/13/07 and I just love it. I formerly used an Olympus D390 which was a great camera as well.

I own a 3rd generation 10GB Apple iPod, I try to keep it updated with my latest music library when I can but lately I have been unable to. I use my iPod with my iHome dock/clock/radio.

Gaming

I like to play games on various platforms. My current consoles consist of a Xbox, Xbox 360 (original core system with 20gb HDD), 1st generation PS2, Nintendo Gamecube, Nintendo DS lite (Limited edition gold Legend of Zelda system) and my PC.

I plan to hopefully get a Nintendo Wii and PS3 eventually and a larger Xbox 360 HDD.

I play Final Fantasy XI on my PC (as well as my 360 and PS2 at times) on the Garuda server as a White Mage named Silentwolf. I’m also a big fan of the Rockman (Mega man) series, namely the X series. I also play World of Warcraft at times. Silent Hill is another one of my favorite series, I really enjoyed SH3, Silent Hill 2 was also pretty good though I like all the games from the series.
