As seen in my last post this week hasn’t been going that well. Finally got to talk to Angel for a little bit today, wasn’t able to talk but for a few minutes yesterday.
Last night I started to feel strange, body started getting really sore, was dizzy and nauseated, then started to run a fever. After a few hours of getting worse and worse I visited my friendly ER incase this was something I could get an antiviral for since it just started. I saw the same doctor I saw Monday who basically was in the room a total of 2 minutes the whole visit. I had a strep test done which was negative and he said it was probably viral and to go home and take some Motrin (which I can’t have, nor any other NSAID). Throughout the night my fever peaked up to 103 or so, then would drop to 99, then spike again, etc.
Finally today I went to the Urgent Care clinic for my medical group and was seen by a nurse practitioner, actually the same one I’ve seen in the ER a few times for my migraines and for the infected laceration to my left leg. She did some bloodwork then said it was bronchitis and prescribed some stuff to take care of that. I’m now on Clarithromycin (which happens to just be 20ml which I take 10ml each dose, this confused the pharmacist as it should be more than 2 doses), some Tusscough (which Walgreens and CVS both do not have) and some Benzonatate capsules, which I have some left over from my last sickness.
Hopefully I’ll be able to get rid of this stuff soon as I just don’t care for being achy and feverish. I finally get to see my neurologist on Tuesday so hopefully we’ll get some stuff done to help with these migraines now.

Not much has been going on lately, just talking to Angel here and there for the few minutes we get to talk anymore. Hoping that it’ll change to how it used to be.
Friday night I had a severe migraine and the Maxalt wouldn’t stop it (again). So I had to resort to the ER. Ambulatory was closed so they wooshed me over to Acute Care where I was dealt with fairly quick. They had to get an IV started so I could get my Dilaudid and Zofran (during the day and evening hours I’m usually sent to ambulatory and they do IM injections of Dilaudid/Promethazine or IM Dilaudid and some dissolving Zofran pills). Well starting the IV wasn’t easy this round. They started with my right hand but the vein blew out so they tried my right hand, same thing. Then we went to the inner arms and both of those blew too. After a suggestion to try a smaller gauge like a 22 (They were trying to use 20 gauge with the others) they did so using my left wrist. Got some Zofran first to help with the nausea and then the Dilaudid. Talked to the RN taking care of me about my medical career ideas and such. Was nice that she took the time to talk for a few and make me feel like a person rather than just another patient.
Weekend was dull, Didn’t get to talk to Angel much Saturday cause he was getting a migraine and his dad wanted him to rest, he went to see Transformers later that day.
Sunday not much talking either.
Monday night I was in bed (had been running a fever earlier in the evening) and started to have some severe abdominal pains, right lower quadrant ones. After this got so bad I ended back over at the ER, had some bloodwork done, pain killers, urine test finally once I got some hydration, more waiting, barium enema and CT, more pain stuff, waiting, finally told it wasn’t my appendix but I should bring this up to Dr. Sullivan when I go for my appointment Thursday as it could be some problem with a new polyp or other such things. Given analgesic and antiemetic prescriptions, went to pharmacy and came home.
Talked to Angel for a few minutes after he got home from school but he had to leave to go talk to counselor about the rest of his credits but we got to talk for a few more minutes later on before he had to go clean or whatever.
I’m so tired now, going to bed momentarily. I’ve got huge bruises (pictures coming soon) on both my hands and my wrist. Surprisingly the inner arm ones don’t look that bad.
I guess that’s all I was going to write about, can’t really remember.
