Current Mood: Angry This is my 898th post on my blog! Hooray!
I went into work today to pick up my paycheck for orientation and some classes I had to take but alas my check was not available. It seems my time sheet I turned in (we use our badges to clock in/out but we didn’t have ours at class yet) went missing and I didn’t get credited for any of those hours. I ended up going to my department hunting down my boss but he was busy actually working like the rest of us (how many bosses actually get dirty and work with their employees?!). He never got my time sheet though it was stuffed in his door, but I filled out a new one and will hopefully get my check soon.
I haven’t even mentioned the job yet in my posts, I work as a transporter in one of the hospitals in my town. I got the job a month or so ago but it takes a long time to actually start working at a hospital it seems. What with all the classes, background checks, drug tests, etc. I won’t be working a lot right now as I’m a registry employee, I only work Sat/Sun 7am-7pm. Some during the week if I want.
Now I had applied for tons of PCT jobs there also but having been turned down for them I ended up applying for Transport, I had my interview and accepted the job. The next day right before HR called me to offer my pay and junk the ED called to offer me an interview for PCT. Figures.
Other than that I’ve just been hanging out with Cory. Been playing FFXI some.
I suppose that’s all. Serenade a Thief has a show tomorrow that anyone around there should go and see!

Current Mood: Happy & Sleepy Well recently my Corolla’s brakes have went bye bye. Some Grinding at first, then to the point when pressing the brake pedal did nothing until it did. What it did was pretty scary, loud loud grinding, sounded like something snapped, etc. I was able to thankfully to make it home but along the way slowing down and trying to stop makes the car slam you forward a few times until it does stop. It appears it may just be the pads and rotors so hopefully Midas can help with that.
I’ve been applying for many many jobs at one of the hospitals here, mainly for Patient Care Tech, I was turned down for most of them, I was called about an interview for an IS Tech job with them but missed the call. After having lost hope I decided to apply for a few more PCT and 2 Transporter jobs. Last week I was called in for an interview for Transporter. To which I am now employed with said hospital. Unfortunately on the day the call came from Human Resources I was called by the hiring personal in the ED for the PCT job, to see if I wanted to come in and interview for it on Monday. Unfortunately I had already accepted the other job and didn’t want to risk turning down the one I took only to be turned down for the one in the ED.
Monday I go in and finish some paperwork, get some tests done and pick up my employee id. (and security card for my car if I want it). So now I’m an official employee of Wellmont Health System. Hopefully I’ll make some good friends there and enjoy the work. Possibly able to advance to different jobs later on.
For the time being, I work Weekends Sat/Sun 7am-7pm, I can pick up additional shifts during the week if I wish also. Pay seem good, if I decide to recertify in CPR I can add an extra dollar an hour, seems good to me.
Feels good to experience happiness again.. plus I get the awesome title of Transporter!
That is all.

Current Mood: Sick & Sleepy Well not been much to write about lately. I’ve been turned down for a few of those jobs I’ve applied for at the hospital. I’ve been applying for others as I get turned town so hopefully one of them will be it. The OR has an open PCT position again that I’ve applied for and will hopefully get.
I’ve had some time lately to play some games in my collection. First off, Megaman X Collection . This game allows you to play Megaman X1-6 and some unlockable content as well. I’ve mainly been playing X4-X6, completed X5, working on X6 still and X4 I’m playing on both the collection disc and on the original game.
Then I figured I’d try out Megaman X7 , they tried to do the whole 3D deal with it but I personally think it didn’t work out too well. The lack of camera control really hurts, and changing from side scrolling to top view, etc is a bit annoying at times. I’d suggest at least trying to game out as you may like it. Megaman X8 looks interesting as well, I plan to pick it up sometime soon and give it a try.
Gave Kiki and his cage a good cleaning today. He ended up pooping in the cage once today but the other few times got to his litter area it looks like. He’s getting pretty old, 9 years maybe? I think the outside bath got him a bit chilled and disorientated, but he seems to be eating and drinking more now.
Thomas came over this evening and we just watched a few Cops episodes and went to Wal-Mart. They happen to be remodeling the store so the parts we need to get to end up being closed off. Makes for an interesting adventure.
I believe thats all for tonight.

Current Mood: Depressed Well not much has really been going on.
I’ve put in 11-12 applications at a certain hospital for PCT (Patient Care Technician), unfortunately I’ve been turned down for 4 or 5. One in the OR I was really hoping for but it was one of the ones I was turned down for. I’ve got a few thats not been updated in awhile other than I’m being considered. So I’m hoping the fact that its not changed to a “Sorry” message and seems to be taking a bit that I might actually get one of those jobs.
I was finally able to make my $50 payment to my PCP’s office, if I didn’t make that payment I would lose my doctor and I can’t have that happen. Got a nice treat baggy of proventil and nasacort AQ today, so hopefully my sinuses will be happy along with my lungs.
My stomach has been hurting pretty bad lately. Sometimes better after eating. The rest of the symptoms go along with an ulcer. My dysphagia is a bit worse than it was last time I mentioned it making it harder to get food down. The Odynophagia is just unpleasant. So I hope I can get back in for an endoscopy soon.
I am still waiting to hear back from AccessTN, I am really needing the insurance and its nice low premium. I wish they’d just send me some info in the mail or something and let me know whats going on.
Played some DDR Universe on my 360 some today, along with Mega Man X Collection (X4 specifically). Need to get past this one boss on Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door so I can play more of that sometime.
I guess that’s all, Lunesta is doing it’s thing and I need to use my steroid spray and go to sleep.

Well today has been dull for the most part.
Unfortunately one of the 6 PCT jobs I have applied for has been rejected. I’m really hoping to get one of the other 5. One of the things I don’t like about the application system the hospital uses is that it doesn’t list which specific job you applied for. So I have a ton of Patent Care Tech jobs on my list but it doesn’t list in which department or other info that would be helpful. It leaves me curious as to which specific position I applied for that I didn’t get. So if any HR folks are reading this, it might be something to consider (along with hiring me).
Today I had a pretty bad migraine, was a 6 or 7 on the pain scale. I was unable to keep down the promethazine and oxycodone so ended up having to get an injection. The nausea has went away so was able to keep a little bit of drink down. The pain was reduced down to a 4 or so I guess. The migraine is still hanging around but not much pain with it.
They’re doing some construction at the ED, basically the ED is being extended so the normal entrance is closed and there’s a lot of construction noise. Hearing people hammer and such right next to you with a migraine is not fun.
I was able to talk to Cory some today, but hasn’t responded in awhile so guess he’s caught up in FFXI or passed out or something now.
An all new House comes on tonight, I can’t wait to watch it. Unfortunately my TiVo service isn’t active at the moment due to me having no money to pay for it, thus preventing me from being able to record the show (or any others for that fact). I also lose the guide function when service is inactive so I can’t even see whats on without either turning to the TV Guide channel to watch an hour long list of channels I don’t get just to find something on one of the ones I do get, or going to the TV Guide site to look.
I think that’s it for now.
