Well today was Thanksgiving as about everyone knows (especially those who could care less about being thankful for something other than the tons of food, that they usually start stuffing into their mouths so they don’t miss any of their precious sports game) They should be thankful that they have even food to eat, unlike those people out there now, be it by their own mistakes in life, or veterans who because of our government end up living on the streets. These people I’m sure are hungry, cold, lonely. I’m glad for these organizations who help these people by giving them food and a warm place to stay.
Little I see it done now, but there are those who want to do something good for others rather than themselves. They invite these people who are less fortunate than we, give them a nice meal, a warm place to spend some time with others, that might give them something to be thankful for. The person who thought not only of himself but those less fortunate than us who did something good for those who cant enjoy all the pleasures we have in ours. Maybe brightened their day, made a difference in someones life.
Next time Thanksgiving rolls around, or even any day for that matter, do something good, make a difference in someones life, invite them to your home, give them a nice warm meal, someone to talk to, may find out how the person ended up that way, it may encourage him to try again. And, in the end, you may learn something about yourself.
Unfortunately Angel and I wasn’t able to spend any time together today. Was looking forward to spending a little time with him. Hopefully tomorrow we’ll get to talk for awhile.
Our dinner consisted of 2 turkeys (Mary and mother made them), some American and English stuffings, some cranberry stuff, various gravies, potatoes of various types, rolls. All around good.
Got to spend some time around family, talked with Heather for awhile tonight then she had to go to bed as they are leaving early, was hoping we could have some more time to spend together.
I spent most of my evening when not down there watching Ghost Hunters marathon. Which brings me to my next thought.
My brother Adam has an imaginary friend. He’s a friendly ghost apparently. Called the Brown Man. Of course it seems to freak my mom out especially when my aunt, cousin, or myself go on our little questioning crusade about the brown man. I’m not much of a skeptic to some stuff, so curiosity is peaked and have been trying to see if this is something normal as many kids have an imaginary friend, but at times some of the stuff he says about/to “Man” is odd. I’d like to do some EVP testing eventually just to see if I can pick anything up which I doubt I will. Along with that, things have been weird at times, noises, the talking, etc. So I’d just like to get to the bottom of it all.
Adam is loving my GameBoy and PSP. Mario, Castlevania, etc. So I was able to play some with him and help him get past the harder spots. It’s fun watching get through the levels and enjoy the game.
I know there was more to this post than what’s there, hopefully someone will read it and it might make a difference, plus the Lunesta is kicking in so losing train of though.
