Fated Strife

Not a whole lot been going on lately, got my pictures from Angel a few days ago. Now only if he’ll mail those letters.

I picked up a new printer last week, its an HP DeskJet D1420 from Wal-Mart. They had another model I really wanted and I had the money for but it would’ve left me with very little money.

So far, from the pictures I’ve printed it seems to be a pretty good printer. I have to say the recent printers don’t seem made like they used to be (I have an older deskjet which finally gave up after many many years), now they are flimsy, very very light (which is ok but I prefer them to sit on the desk or such steady like rather than something that can easily be pushed off.

My complaints:

• Only includes the Tri-color Cartridge. It would be nice to have a black one included, I have yet to pick one up as the CVS didn’t have the one I needed in stock (they had everything other cart though)
• No USB cable included. I’m not sure if this is common these days but when it has one listed on the box but doesn’t clearly say NOT INCLUDED.
• Missing status lights. These seem to be a must on every printer. A low ink alert light, paper jam, no paper, error. Things like that would be useful.

Didn’t get to spend much time talking to Angel the past week, we did get to talk today though for a few minutes. He was a few hours late but he was at the college getting some stuff done or such, has to go back tomorrow to get classes setup, I think.

He’s supposed to be coming out here around Christmas time for a visit, since my previous trip there got screwed up.

I’ve watched Seasons 4-11 of M*A*S*H this past week, watched 2 more of them today. I only lack Seasons 1-3 now and then I’ll have the entire series.
