Fated Strife

Well as previously mentioned, I had my colonoscopy on the 30th. Unfortunately, the prep didn’t kick in to its full effect until 6pm that evening so I was up all that night doing the mag citrate parts of the prep and letting them do their work.

Upon getting in my gown and several enemas of dark water coming back out did it finally come out clear, this allowed me to go ahead with the colonoscopy (I was going to just have my esophagus stretched and my LES burnt a bit to help with the swallowing and the reflux some). After getting back there and all they started scoping but not so how far in they were able to advance because I wasn’t fully cleaned out. I also need the max on the sedation that day too for some reason, not sure as to why unless they got pretty far into colon and I was showing signs of pain and whatever.

Was rescheduled for Wednesday but I decided not to reprep again since the first prep was horrible for me as my stomach cant hold a lot of the liquid and the massive nausea which led me to vomit a few times.

Tuesday I had my EEG and Trans cranial Ultrasound and Carotid Ultrasound tests done. I received a call the other day about the EEG saying it looked good but got a call back a few minutes later after they noticed my other tests results were not available for report yet.

Talked to Angel a little this week, waiting on a new picture he got for me to be emailed to me and some letters and pictures he’s been trying to get mailed.

My Bronchitis appears to be back, or it never left from where I was previously sick. Went to ER due to severe coughing (painful), chest pain and shortness of breath. Saw one of the doctors that I’ve seen for my migraines in the past so he was in and out of the room in under a minute (with my migraine, he walked in, asked what was going on, said we’ll get you your shot and was gone in under 30 seconds). I was prescribed some Doxycycline Hyclate as antibiotic and some Hydron/No-tuss syrup for my cough.

Guess that’s it for today, can’t think of anything else to mention.

Well I’m scheduled for colonoscopy on the 30th of this month. I have to start my wonderful prep of NuLYTELY the day before (along with mag citrate the day before that and 2 more on the day of prep). They’re going to check on this mass like thing over in my right colon and to do my usual checkup to see what polyps have shown up since my previous colonoscopy. I very much dread the prep and I really hope it will be a good prep this time as the past few haven’t cleaned me out as well as it should, thus the extra magnesium citrate stuff.

I saw my neurologist (who is color blind I learned) last week, I am scheduled for EEG, and Transcranial Ultrasound on the day after my colonoscopy. I also have to have an EMG performed on the 30th of August to check for nerve damage and such in my legs.

I saw my Pain Medicine FNP Monday, she was the one who setup the EMG and also placed me on Zanaflex for my back and to hopefully help with the muscle spasms I have when I take Ultram (which they placed me back on). Both them and my neurologist are getting my Lyrica dose up to the maximum daily one for the pain stuff and the other is to hopefully prevent my migraines. We’ll see how that works as so far I’ve noticed no change with the Lyrica, migraines are still rampant and my pain is still there, bursts of it which is severe and it makes me want to vomit when it happens.

Angel’s mom had to go to the doctor the other day and is now in the hospital as some tests are being done. He’s been really upset by it all and I hate to see him upset like that, we’ve had the same problems that she is in our family so I’ve seen how it goes and I just him to know everything is going to be alright with it and with all this medical stuff available now she will be fine. It’s been stressful on him even more I’m sure, along with the school stuff he’s having to do.

We’re supposed to be able to talk on the computer today some, so hopefully that’ll work and we will, easier for me to talk that way, or at least to help explain all the stuff to him. So if you’re the praying type, please pray for his mom.

I went and saw Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix last week, it was a fairly decent movie, I lost my place in that book but I was near the end so I grabbed a copy of the Half Blood Prince and had been reading that the past few days. I finished it Monday and started reading the final book; Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. So far the book has been good, I know alot of whats going to happen but I still have to finish the book.

I guess that’s all, hopefully things will start to work out and things will get better soon.
