Fated Strife

Well past 2 weeks haven’t been that great, me and Angel have barely got to talk much each day. At least we’re getting to talk some I guess. All this stuff is making him want to come out here even more though.

I went with my mom and Adam to the new shopping center (one of the many they’re building here) to Kohl’s and Target. I picked up a long sleeve xg (xtreme gear) shirt, I’ve got a number of short sleeve and a warm cotton one from that brand and really like them.

I also picked up a new pair of shoes, they ended up being $40 total I believe. Been looking for some new Vans to get and found the ones below.

I’m trying to break them in some, the toe area is a bit tight on my feet but that’ll go away soon. I don’t want to give wearing my Nike Shox though cause they’re awesome and comfortable too.

I got another long sleeve black Mossimo thermal crew shirt from Target, it was a few dollars less than the tag, I guess they’re selling stuff cheap since these stores just opened this week.

I may look on eBay for some more shirts from those brands as they didn’t have any short sleeve or polo shirts at this time, I guess because it’s Fall/Winter right now.

I’ll post the shirt pics sometime though I doubt anyone cares to see them.

Yesterday at Circuit City I purchased this:

It’s a TiVo Series2 DVR. I have been looking to get one for a year or so now cause DirecTV sucks and didn’t want to use their tuner with Tivo. Unfortunately the cost for one had been too much for me to spend but I saw the price tag last night and it said purchase price of like $57 with a rebate of $170, so I’d be getting money for buying it. I inquired about it and all but they only had the display model left, the price was brought down to $28+tax but the system was in excellent condition and it came with all the cables and junk. I came home and got it activated finally (TiVo’s login system is buggy, had to register a new account with Rewards memebership cause I couldn’t login with my old one) I ended up making 5,000 TiVo points from referring myself to TiVo and was able to get some awesome TiVo house slippers for free from it. So should be getting those in a few weeks.

I’m happy with my new TiVo, I need to get a USB to Ethernet adapter so I can use the internet to get my TiVo updates and stuff rather than the slow phone line. Unfortunately, we only have basic cable so not very much to choose from to record, but I’ve got my season pass for House setup now and can record Family Guy or Simpsons on Sunday now and all the Modern Marvels and other geek shows I watch.

I think I’m starting to get sick again, something new going around along with the flu and such. Mine fortunately doesn’t seem to be in my lungs (yet), just some aches and congestion in nose so hopefully it’ll go away or not be too bad on me.

I was finally able to get the new shelf to add to my shelf thing on the wall to put my DVDs and games. I installed the rails way back and one is about half an inch or less uneven from the other so looking at the shelf from my chair is driving me nuts cause it’s not even. Guess I’m going to have to fix that sometime.

I believe that’s all for now, rambled on long enough. Hopefully Angel and I will get to start talking more again and things will get better for us.
